ES-Micro with Battery

ES-Micro uses 48V batteries (LVB = low voltage battery). LVBs are fairly cheap and robust.

LVBs need a battery inverter (INV-BAT) which can charge them (taling 220V single phase input) and discharge them – producing 220V single phase output.

Typically LVBs come with their own built-in battery management system (BMS). This BMS must be compatible with the BAT-INV.

We use Victron Multiplus II devices as BAT-INV. If you want to check if your battery can be controlled by the ES-Micro BAT-INV you must go through the compatibility list of Victron:

Apart from Lithium batteries Victron supports also classical lead batteries (1/24/48V) which do not have a BMS. Such batteries could for example be used parts of electrical forklifts.
